Paid for Russell Peters, watched a political campaign
Was super excited to see Russell Peters, but quickly realized it was a political campaign for Tom Patti. Tom Patti spoke for approx 20 mins, thanking his sponsors and talking about things regarding the city. Russell Peters came out looking annoyed af and didnt really tell jokes, but rarher he picked on certain people in the audience and made fun of them as jokes. He even looked at his watch and wanted to end the show early. All around me, I could hear other people whisper to each other about how annoyed they were that the show was focused around Tom Patti and his campaign. Some people even got up and left. Overall it was a horrible show. Not what I had expected at all.
Russell Peters - Best Ever!
Had to drive a bit to Gila River Casino (next time try Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale!) but in the end, it was worth the drive to be able to experience Russell's set. The funniest he's EVER been -- he just keeps getting better! My cheeks hurt from smiling/laughing all evening!
I have to say that the experience at Gila River Casino was less than desired -- all the restaurants (that were affordable) had high wait times so being an hour early, we were forced to the Food Court, which only had a burger place and a pizza place. Much more choices at Talking Stick and a nicer venue -- which Russell definitely deserves! What a master!
